An attractive Victorian couple riding along the countryside on a pair of horses. One horse is an off white and the other a chestnut color. The lovers are both wearing hats, coats, and leather gloves. She is riding side saddle, as women of priviledge so often did.
This art illustration was taken from a March 1906 magazine cover from: WOMAN'S HOME COMPANION. Published by the Crowell Publishing Company. Still very nice coloring.
This wonderful Vibrant, Not Faded Print is in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. No stains, Does have some minor handling, edge wear and tears. Most hidden under the frame edge except on the middle left side, one on the white horse and the other above the horse.
Framed in an Original Antique wood frame that is its original color of a burnish burgundy brown. The scroll details in the scoop of the frame is either a leather material (I have seen those before, but rare), or it is carved in wood. Frame has the normal wear for its age. BEAUTIFUL old frame that makes the picture art image stunning.
Maintains it's Original Old Glass. We cleaned up the glass, replaced the old kraft paper. Old wiring on back, ready to hang up on your wall. Frame is very solid and secure in all four corners.
The nice solid heavy frame measures 13-1/2 inches wide, 15-1/2 inches high, 1-1/2 inch deep frame edge.
Measurement of 11 inches wide by 13-1/4 inches high.
